Fall League 10.12.16

Fall League 10.12.16

Strike That
1. So this is a round all about people we learn about in history who are utter dicks who really don’t deserve the time or effort of learning about them. Naturally, this is inspired by none other than Christopher Columbus. He sucks. Plain and simple and represents white power in its fullest extent. Anyways, where was Chris born?
Republic of Genoa (will take Genoa, Italy as well)
Genocide - The Offspring
2. So the next dude up started out not so bad, like most eventual tyrants. This man is responsible for the Reign of Terror in France during the French Revolution where mass executions were conducted. Eventually he himself was the victim of the guillotine which he loved to force on everyone, including his friends. What is this Frenchman’s name?
Maximilien Robespierre
Savior’s Robes - Yellowcard
3. Next up is the 5th emperor of Rome. This dude sucks. He just slaughtered everyone and enjoyed it. He’s also reported to have fiddled while Rome was burning. He’s also noted as the one responsible for beheaded the Apostle Paul and crucifying the Apostle Peter upside down. Eventually the dude committed suicide. Who is this infamous Roman Emperor?
Nero
Heroes - David Bowie
4. Next up is the douche who committed genocide in the name of imperial expansion, Leopold II of Belgium. He isolated one country in Africa where they maimed people for not producing enough rubber or daily quotas of their work, it’s estim ated that he killed around 10 million of this nation’s inhabitants, or 50% of its population. What nation did Leopold permanently scar?
The Congo Free State
Congo - Genesis
Bonus: So not all presidents have been great. In fact there have been many a poll where people have been asked to rank them. I will give you the political Party and the dates of their presidency as well a song clue for a hint.

Breakfast Time
1. I love breakfast. I wrote this round while eating breakfast. More importantly my favorite breakfast meal ever is biscuits and sausage gravy. We owe this dish to the English settlers in Jamestown because they ate simpler meals. Here’s an etymology question for you though. What two things does biscuit refer to in the UK?
Biscuits (hard like ours) and cookies
Cookies! - Ninja Sex Party
2. Breakfast meats are a highly contentious topic with me, but if done right, I take sausage over bacon all day. It’s weird but it’s the subject of our next question. Traditionally, what is the mixture of meats that comprise sausages stuffed into? It’s actually a genius way to both preserve these foods while making the most of the animal.
The intestines
Testify - Rage Against the Machine
3. So Belgian waffles, or the ones we imagine, are a gross Americanization of the ones originally from Belgium. There are two types of waffles that hail from this country. The lesser known one is the Liege waffle, with the other having a more geographically focused name that serves as the inspiration for our American version. What is its name?
The Brussels Waffle
23 Minutes in Brussels - Luna
4. So here’s my question to all you bacon lovers out there. Within the United States, where does our bacon come from? It’s a different cut due to the presence of more fat and less meat.
Pork Belly
Belly Belly Nice - Dave Matthews Band

Q4: So as appliances come in off the dock I have to prep them before they are priced and finally put on the floor. This includes removing appliances from boxes, setting them up, and as well as cleaning them. There is a term for this process, what is it?
