Meet Your Hosts: Billy and Greg

Billy Arrowsmith and Greg Ronco began hosting Trivia during the 2013 Summer League. They are a self-described entertainment juggernaut, with a style that can only be called "Gilmore Girls meets NASCAR." The story of how they met is not interesting or notable. Billy has been bringing joy and laughter to the unwashed masses since 2008. Greg has been responsibly keeping Billy in check since 2012. They are very happy together.

Pictured: Greg Ronco hard with thought
Greg "Heartbreaker" Ronco is a handsome and debonair young management major. His actual age is a closely guarded secret, and his face has looked the same way since he was 9 years old. He is the strong one but he is also shy, sensitive, and naive. He's like a musky lumberjack who probably also surfs. Greg can usually be seen at Trivia, or working out his big gentle arms on the golf-course. He has described accusations that he is two midgets in a trench coat as "slanderous and false."

Pictured: Billy Arrowsmith during one of many cries for help
Billy Arrowsmith is a shaved bear pretending to be a human. His hobbies include cigars, comic books, and cooking a meal for one alone in his kitchen while softly weeping. He is the sassy and edgy member of the duo, known around Worcester as a Trivia "bad boy." His catchphrase is "I'm not taking sides on this one!" The tortured mystique that makes him irresistible has also made him a convicted felon. Billy promises that he is just trying to go straight so he can see his kids again.

                        Rules and Regulations

Trivia at Moynihan's is held every Wednesday night at Moynihan's Pub, starting at 9:30pm. There are four rounds, each worth 25 points, for a cumulative 100 points. Bonus points may be awarded at the judge's discretion, for any of a number of criteria. The winner each night receives a free pitcher of beer and a free plate of chicken, courtesy of Moynihan's. There is also a special "pitcher challenge" given each night, which does not affect the overall scores. The winner of the pitcher challenge gets a free pitcher of beer. You cannot win both Trivia and the pitcher challenge. If the same group wins both, the pitcher challenge is awarded to whoever placed second. Each group may have no more than 6 members.

Each round consists of five questions: four regular questions, and a bonus question. The regular questions are assigned values of 2, 4, 6, and 8. Your score for each question will be weighted by how confident you are in eacg answer, adding up to a total of 20. The bonus question for each round comes in a list format, and you will be asked to provide several answers, worth a single point each. The pitcher challenge can be anything, but it's usually an artistic contest. You will be given a prompt, and submissions are judged by creativity/effort not talent. Each question is accompanied by a musical clue, giving you a hint to the answer with its title or artist. There is no musical clue for the pitcher question.

There are also League standings, and the winners at the end of the League get a special prize. The year is divided into Fall League, Spring League and Summer League. There are special prizes at the end of the League for the three highest-scoring teams of the season.

The scoring system is designed to benefit both teams that do well and teams that show up the most.  Teams get one point for showing up and then an additional point for every team they beat that week.  Ex:

                         1. 5 points
                         2. 4 points
                         3. 3 points
                         4. 2 points
                         5. 1 point

Trivia teams are encouraged to challenge rulings, and we always like hearing from you guys on things we could be doing better. Let us know if you have any fun suggestions that you think could make Trivia more exciting. You're also welcome to request songs at the end of the night, when Trivia is over and we're playing music while we hang out. We are very open to ideas, and our goal is for you to have the most fun.
