All that Jazz
  1. So I went to a talk a few years ago by a historian who focused on the intersection of music and history - a personal favorite subject of mine. Nicknamed Satchmo who was the unofficial ambassador for the United States and Jazz during the Cold War - as an anecdote President Nixon carried his suitcase full of weed through the terminal at the airport when he came back from being abroad at one point. What was Satchmo’s real name?

    Louis Armstrong

  2. What famous “post-bop” Saxophonist, the son of famous saxophonist John and pianist Alice, is coming to play at Clark University on March 29th?

    Ravi Coltrane
50 Ways to Say Goodbye - Train
  3. One of my personal favorite Jazz artists a famous puffy cheeked trumpet player who needed a custom made trumpet, bent at a 45 degree angle. Fun fact, this was originally accidental, but it altered the tone of the instrument - something that this artist loved. What was his name - here’s one of my favorite by him, performed by him.

    Dizzy Gillespie
    A Night in Tunisia

    Utah
Shape of You - Ed Sheeran

Speaking of states towards the west coast - I asked Jerry his 5 favorite places to go visit - he’s a big skier so three of his answers have to do with bigger ski destinations. The fourth is a music venue here in MA and the 5th a coastal town in MA. I’ll play you song hints for all these.

1. Park City, Utah - Bleed it Out by Linkin Park
2. Steamboat Springs, Colorado - Steamboat by The Beach Boys
3. Vail, Colorado - Valerie by Amy Winehouse
4. Tanglewood (Lenox, MA) - Tangled up in Blue by Bob Dylan

Growing up we never went far from home for normal vacations but often did staycations. Since we lived near the coast and had a boat we got to explore hundreds of islands around casco bay. Most of the islands are now owned and taken care of by the Maine island trail association.

Anyway we are in Worcester not Maine, who takes care of some hiking trails and over 1000 acres of land in the area?

There are two major reasons water level is rising, allowing for much better water views and so many new places to go for spring break! The second is the melting of land ice, what is the first?

Thermal Expansion Exchange – Bryson Tiller

Since the 1880’s average global temp has gone up some, I’ll give you a hint it's under 3 degrees F, I want you to tell me how much since according to GISS.
